ProEdit has an immediate need for a technical writer for a full-time, four- to six-month, onsite contract position in Greenville, SC. Candidate will be responsible for developing content for technical manuals and training materials for robotic packaging systems. The successful candidate will have a strong electro-mechanical background and be able to develop documentation for complex automation systems.

This contract will start the week of May 11 and may be extended past the six-month timeframe, as our client has a large volume of work.

Seeking a Technical Illustrator for an 11+ month contract located in the Lexington, KY area. Candidate will be responsible for preparing illustrations and drawings to depict technical equipment. Candidate MUST have experience with ARMY manuals (no others are acceptable) such as parts books, maintenance manuals, modifications, integrations, etc.  This project will be illustrating Field Level Maintenance Manuals. Experience can be for ground vehicles, aircraft or mobile field support equipment.  Candidate will render preliminary or final products to include assembly and component drawings, exploded views, perspective and isometric drawings and schematic/wiring diagrams. Candidate MUST have experience with one or more of the following: CorelDraw/CorelDesigner, Adobe Illustrator and AutoTrol TI. Candidate MUST be a US citizen with either an active secret clearance OR the ability to be processed for a secret clearance.

Spartanburg, SC client has an opening for a 3 to 6 month contract for a junior to mid-level technical writer, working on a six person documentation team. The candidate will be responsible for creating user guides and technical reference manuals consisting of 1-6 pages per policy. The candidate must have one to three years experience in technical writing.

JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking two technical writers to join the EAM project to support the Training development for the project. The EAM project will consolidate the Carolinas and Midwest Work Management and Supply Chain systems onto a common platform (Maximo). This role is for a training designer / developer to support development of training material on the *Supply Chain* business processes in the new Maximo system.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. creating training design documents from project documentation (process flows, change impact documentation, application functional design documents, misc design documents, SME interviews, etc.)
  2. creating student and instructor training material, job aids, and step-by-step instructions from training design documentation for Work Management and Supply Chain ERP system (Maximo 6.2.3)
  3. adhering to training design standards.
  4. incorporating Adult Accelerated Learning principles into course material.
  5. reporting progress on assigned deliverables.
  6. collaborating and communicating with business project team members/Subject Matter Experts
  7. incorporating changes resulting from training QA reviews and system testing.
  8. setting-up data in Maximo needed to support training exercises.
Required Skills:
  1. Clear and concise communication skills, both written and oral
  2. Expert with MS Office and use of style sheets
  3. Training experience (either as a developer or as a trainer)
  4. *Supply Chain operational experience (or consulting in operations) - Inventory, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable*
  5. Experience completing project deliverables required to support project schedule.
